Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information WhaleWave processes, why it is used and how you can exercise your rights.
Effective date: September 11, 2026
Who is responsible
WhaleWave is operated by Santiago Toledo Monaca in Argentina. Privacy requests can be sent to privacy@whalewave.site and general support requests to support@whalewave.site.
Information we process
When you create an account, we process your email address, display name, preferred language, membership tier and account identifiers. Authentication credentials are handled by our authentication provider; WhaleWave does not display your password.
We also process the favorites you save, feedback you submit and essential technical or security records generated when the service is used. WhaleWave does not currently collect payment-card information or use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide and secure accounts, remember preferences, enforce plan limits, operate favorites and feedback, administer founder beta participation, diagnose failures, prevent abuse and improve the public beta.
Service providers and transfers
WhaleWave uses service providers including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure and Vercel for hosting and delivery. These providers may process information outside Argentina under their own security and privacy commitments.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when legally required or when reasonably necessary to protect users, WhaleWave or the integrity of the service.
Cookies and local storage
The service uses essential session cookies and local storage for authentication, security, language and theme preferences. These technologies are necessary for requested functionality and are not currently used for behavioral advertising.
Retention and your rights
Account information is retained while the account is active and afterward only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Feedback may be retained while it remains useful for product improvement.
You may request access, correction, updating or deletion of your personal information by writing to privacy@whalewave.site. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Changes
We may update this policy as WhaleWave adds services, analytics, payments or new providers. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
